Junior Tommy Mooney Recognized for Amazing Fundraising
It takes great strength to triumph over childhood Leukemia. The disease affects everyone in the entire family. Pine-Richland Ice Hockey player Tommy Mooney took the strength he gained by having a family member triumph over Leukemia and dedicated himself to helping raise funds to fight the disease.
This past year, Tommy raised money to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with the Over the Edge Campaign. This campaign requires their participants to raise a minimum of $1,500 in order to be able to repel down the side of the Koppers building in downtown Pittsburgh.
The entire campaign raised over $190,000 in 2018. Tommy Mooney was instrumental in the success of the program. Congratulations to Tommy for receiving the Top Fundraiser award as he raised over $12,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. What an amazing young man and family.
